Windswept summer's evening on Halkyn Mountain in NE Wales.
Before moving to Scotland I lived for 14 years in NE Wales, here's a lovely sunset shot from the mountain we lived on around mid-summers day.
Halkyn Mountain has stunning views of over 75 miles and is just off the NW's motorway network bringing Manchester and Liverpool within less than an hours drive and only 20 minutes from Chester.
I spotted this tree while making my way up to the top of the mountain with the plan to descend at dusk and capture the sky and tree in silhouette if the cloud formation was kind.
Always hunt for the shots but think about when you'll take them to capture them in the best light.
